Meridian Police say they arrested a Mountain View High School teacher today after they gathered evidence of a sexual relationship between a teacher and a student. Police say 26-year-old Rebecca E. Mason-Cales of Boise was arrested for sexual battery of a minor.

A car chase in Nampa turned deadly overnight when a woman fell from the fleeing vehicle. The incident happened just after midnight Tuesday morning. According to Nampa Police, officers pulled over 46-year-old Joe A. Nevarez in the 1600 block of 2nd Street South.

Kootenai County Sheriff report one person is dead after a vehicle pursuit with a deputy in Post Falls early Sunday morning. According to the release, a deputy observed a vehicle traveling recklessly and at high speed. The deputy began to pursue the vehicle near W Prairie Avenue and N. Huetter Road.

Seven people were taken to the hospital following a crash Thursday evening near Payette. Idaho State Police says the driver of a Nissan was heading west and attempting to make a left turn into a rest area along Highway 52 when it hit an eastbound Ford Ranger truck. The Ford went onto the right shoulder, over corrected, and went into the westbound lanes and hit a third vehicle.

A Boise family is getting help with a place to stay overnight after a house fire in West Boise. A father and two kids were home at the time when a neighbor noticed fire in the back of the house on Fair Meadow Drive.

One man was killed overnight when his SUV smashed into a pole on the offramp to Eagle Road. According to Meridian Police, the wreck happened at about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday on the westbound offramp from Interstate 84.

Police say Paul Schoffstall, 50, of Boise was westbound in the left lane on I-84 near milepost 29.5 in a 2005 Ford Focus and it went off the left shoulder and back on the road and back over both lanes.

A woman is in custody on attempted murder charges. The Boise County Sheriff's Office says deputies began investigating the attempted first-degree murder in Horseshoe Bend on Saturday. Sometime today (Tuesday) the suspect, identified as Concetta Quijas, was arrested on a $500,000 warrant deputies say.

A 48-year-old Washington State man died in a crash along Highway 95 Sunday. Idaho State Police says Eric Gearhart of Palouse, Wash., was heading north on his motorcycle when he lost control heading into a curve and left the highway north of Moscow. He was later taken to the hospital died from his injuries.

Authorities say a snowmobiler has died after being caught in an avalanche in eastern Idaho. The Fremont County Sheriff's Office says emergency workers received a 911 call Saturday afternoon that a snowmobiler had been caught in an avalanche east of Reas Peak in Island Park.

A 36-year-old Idaho Falls man has died after he was buried in an avalanche Wednesday. EastIdahoNews.com reports the man was snowmobiling with a group of friends near Mt. Jefferson in Fremont County Wednesday when the avalanche occurred.
